We’re lucky to have so many streaming service options in today’s world. Netflix was a trailblazer and still king of online video streaming services. Amazon Prime Video is a huge source of original content online. Hulu brought us our favorite TV shows at our fingertips- not to mention their excellent anime selection. At this point, there are TONS of choices, which is excellent for the consumer. Now you’ve got the Paramount+ Free Trial to work with, so let’s learn what they’re up to!

Like clockwork, all of the major networks have created their own platforms where they offer not only content they made in the past but also new original shows. Choosing which streaming services you want to subscribe to is mainly about the content you’re interested in. Of course, no one wants to have dozens of monthly subscriptions, but there are too many great shows on Paramount+ you don’t want to miss out on.

What is Paramount+?

Paramount+ is the video streaming platform for CBS, one of top three major network television channels – the other two being ABC and NBC.

Paramount+ has thousands of programs that are exclusive to their platform, and on top of that a huge assortment of original programming.

Why You May Want to Try Paramount+

Paramount+ has a large variety of shows available.

One of the biggest draws is their science-fiction content—in particular, they own the Star Trek franchise and the new revamped Twilight Zone show.

They also showcase comedian Stephen Colbert’s Tooning Out the News and No Activity, produced by Will Ferrell. That’s two big names in comedy with shows exclusive to Paramount+.

They don’t lack programming in the Drama category either. The Good Fight and One Dollar are both critically acclaimed and enjoyed by many viewers.

The best thing about Paramount+? You can sign up free for 30 days, check out any of those shows, and if you don’t like them, just cancel before your trial is over. However, you may like it enough to want to keep it! Stranger Things have happened.

Here’s How to Try Paramount+ for Free: Sign-Up Process

The signup process is straightforward.

Step 1: Go to the Paramount+ to Begin your 30-day free trial

You’ll see a page showcasing clips from many popular shows like Picard and Star Trek: Discovery.

Click on “Try it Free” in the left bottom section of the webpage.

Step 2: Pick a Plan

The next page will ask you to pick a plan, but there aren’t any choices yet. It merely tells you what type of billing, annual or monthly, you can choose. It also reports you can pick Limited Commercials or Commercial free.

Just click on “Continue.”

The next page lets you select which plan you want—Commercial-Free, which at the time of this writing costs $5.99 a month, or Limited Commercials, which costs $9.99 a month. The Commercial Free option lets you download videos to your computer to watch if you don’t have internet access later.

The small text under the Commercial Free option warns you that some programs will still have limited commercials, especially local news and a few programs. You can also check a box that signs you up annually and save you fifteen percent off the total but will immediately bill you for the next 12 months in bulk.

Step 3: Create Your Account

The next page will tell you that you need to create an account, so you can log in, pick up where you left off watching shows and get news from a local CBS affiliate.

Click continue.

You will be asked to fill out some information like your name, etc.

From here, enter this information in the fields provided and note the small checkbox below that is already pre-filled. It gives them permission to email you about stuff you may or may not want. You can uncheck this box.

Click “Continue.”

Step 4: Payment Method

The next step asks you to add a payment method.

You can use a credit card or a Paypal account. The ability to use Paypal is an excellent option here.

Just fill out your information and click, “Start Paramount+ Free Trial.”

You’re ready to watch!

Canceling Your Paramount+ Trial

Once you have added your payment method, you’ll be taken directly to the site, where you can watch all the shows Paramount+ offers.

You can personalize your account at this step or just start watching shows right away.

If you don’t want to keep your subscription, it’s relatively easy to cancel.

At the top right, there is a dropdown menu with your name. Select “Account” and click it.

Under Subscription and Billing, the last item in blue that you can click says “Cancel Subscription.” Just press that, and a pop up will appear. They will offer a discount if you continue your subscription. You can continue, and the page will ask you to confirm your subscription cancellation. Simply check the Terms and Conditions checkbox and select “Yes, Cancel.”

They will ask you to pick a reason for why you’re canceling. Pick whatever you want, and then confirm again.

Lastly, if you haven’t already, start your one week Paramount+ Free Trial – and with that, we give you the Vulcan Salute and say, “Live long and prosper!”
